XPeng VIN Decoder رسیور VIN
Every XPeng vehicle has a unique 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that serves as its digital fingerprint. Our XPeng VIN decoder reads this number and extracts detailed information directly from Chinese vehicle databases that no other decoder can access:
Battery capacity, motor type, drivetrain, body style, trim level, and factory-installed options including XNGP hardware generation
Exact factory location — Zhaoqing, Guangzhou, or Magna Graz (Austria) — encoded in position 11 of the VIN
Position 10 reveals the model year (N=2022, P=2023, R=2024, S=2025, T=2026)
Chinese provincial traffic authority records and insurance claims — unavailable on Carfax or AutoCheck
Previous owners, registration history, and transfer dates from Chinese registration databases
Cross-referenced against the SAMR recall database to identify any open or closed recalls for your specific VIN
Province of registration, registration date, deregistration status, and export clearance data
Verified against the Chinese Police Database for stolen or flagged vehicle status
Understanding the structure of an XPeng VIN helps you verify authenticity and identify key details about the vehicle before purchase. XPeng's primary WMI code is L1N, used on all self-manufactured vehicles from the Zhaoqing plant onward. Early G3 units (2018–2020) built under contract by Haima Automobile may carry a different WMI prefix.
| Position(s) | Name | XPeng Specific Detail |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | WMI Code | L1N = XPeng (Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd.) |
| 4–8 | Vehicle Descriptor (VDS) | Model, body style, motor/battery type, restraint system |
| 9 | Check Digit | Mathematical verification digit (0–9 or X) |
| 10 | Model Year | N=2022 | P=2023 | R=2024 | S=2025 | T=2026 |
| 11 | Plant Code | A=Zhaoqing | B=Guangzhou | D=Magna Graz (Austria) |
| 12–17 | Production Sequence | 6-digit sequential number — uniquely identifies the vehicle |
Note: First-generation XPeng G3 models (Nov 2018 – ~2020) were contract-manufactured by Haima Automobile in Zhengzhou and carry Haima's WMI prefix instead of L1N. Our decoder supports both prefixes.

Before decoding, you need to locate the VIN on your XPeng vehicle. It can be found in these locations:
Visible through the windshield from outside the vehicle, on the lower left corner of the dashboard
Sticker located at door latch height on the B-pillar when you open the driver's door
Stamped on the body structure inside the front trunk (frunk) or under-hood area
Registration certificate (行驶证), insurance documents, and import certificate
We are the only XPeng VIN decoder with direct access to Chinese government vehicle databases. No competitor — not Carfax, AutoCheck, vindecoderz, or any other VIN service — can access these sources:
China Automotive Technology & Research Center — records for every type-approved vehicle sold in China
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology — national vehicle registration database
Provincial accident records, traffic violation history, and insurance claim data
Stolen and flagged vehicle records — security verification for your XPeng
All official XPeng recalls with affected VIN ranges and current status
Chinese insurance company data — claims history, damage assessments, and payouts
Checking for open recalls is critical before purchasing any XPeng vehicle. Enter your VIN above to check recall status, or review known XPeng recalls below:
| Date | Model | Issue | Units Affected | Status |

Yes. Basic vehicle information — specifications, manufacturing origin, and model identification — is completely free. Full history reports that include accident records, ownership history, and recalls from Chinese databases are available as paid reports.
L1N is XPeng's World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI) code. "L" indicates the vehicle was manufactured in China, and "1N" identifies XPeng (Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd.). All XPeng vehicles built at the Zhaoqing, Guangzhou, and Magna Graz plants carry the L1N prefix.
Yes. Our reports include Chinese provincial traffic authority data and insurance claims — information unavailable through NMVTIS, DVLA, or any European vehicle checker. We are the only platform with direct access to these Chinese sources.
Three locations: (1) dashboard through the windscreen on the driver's side; (2) driver's door B-pillar sticker; (3) engine bay / front trunk area stamped on the body. All three must match. You can also find it on registration documents and insurance papers.
Yes. We support every XPeng model: G3, G6, G7, G9, P5, P7, P7+, X9, and Mona M03. Our decoder reads battery capacity, drivetrain type, and EV-specific data from the VIN.

Yes. The first-generation XPeng G3 (Nov 2018 – ~2020) was contract-manufactured by Haima Automobile in Zhengzhou. Those vehicles carry Haima's WMI prefix, not L1N. From the Zhaoqing plant onward (2020+), all XPeng vehicles use the L1N prefix.
Yes. If the vehicle was manufactured in China (VIN starts with L), we can access its full manufacturing history regardless of the country where it is currently registered. This works for XPeng vehicles sold in Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and beyond.
